Squeeze more out with Hellmanns mayo

Influenster did it again! They sent another free products to try.

Unfortunately CJ can't try any because it has sugar in it. :-( 

But his Daddy and I were able to enjoy it. The easy squeeze tip makes it perfect for sandwiches and it doesn't leave a messy blob at the end. The flavor is great! The best part is they use cage free eggs! A big company actually committed to doing something better for everyone! 

Much needed update.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. A lot has been going on and doctors appointments have kept me very busy. CJ turned two and shortly after he had to have a test done, he had to be sedated so they could look inside him tummy and take samples. This was a test we have been trying to avoid for a year but all other efforts to figure out why he wasn't gaining weight turned out nothing.  The pre ou and test was traumatizing for CJ and us. But we finally have an answer! Yay, well not really but now we know what we are fighting. congenital sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (CSID). Basically his stomach does not make the enzyme to process sugar or starch. Yikes! So how do we deal with this? The doctors answer is remove all sucrose (sugar) from his diet and extremely limit starch. Easy enough right? NOPE! That includes foods naturally high in sucrose like carrots and apples. Two of the few foods Chris will eat. We met with a nutritionist and have started our journey of a pain free diet that will correct his malnutrition. So for me that means, Google, read, print, read some more, cry in the middle of the grocery store because everything has sugar in it. Really why the #*!@ does taco seasoning need sugar anyway!? 

 

This was my view getting ready for our doctors appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when she said I was the most prepared parent she ever had. I got this! It may be hard but it's what my baby needs. Now to deal with the fact that most sweeteners he can have are far from natural, making this crunchy mama's head spin.
